October 14th will mark the second appearance in Parker Arizona for the class 10 Torchmate 1066 car to battle the harsh terrain of the desolate desert in search of victory.
As is usual for this Desert challenge race, Casey has scheduled a two day event with both days having the racers make three 20ish mile loop along the banks of the Colorado River though landmarks named The Matterhorn, John Wayne’s Gorge, the Haunted House, Course Cutter Wash and the Snake Pit.
The two days of racing on a shorter-than-normal desert course, will see many heats fill each day’s racing, with the racers being broken up into heats of similar speed vehicles. In such a short race there is no room for error or lost time, a simple flat tire will leave the racers without enough miles left to make up for the lost time. Running smooth and making smart decisions will payoff.
This is definitely watcher’s race, buggies and trucks racing by all day long… we’re looking forward to seeing you all there! If you can’t be there, follow us on racetheworld.net, look for car 1066. The course is up and pre-running should be on it!
